Raffaello Santi, known as Raphael, or Raphael of Urbino, was born in Urbino on Good Friday 6 April 1483, the son of Magia di Battista di Nicola Ciarla and Giovanni Santi di Pietro. His father was a painter and poet at the court of Frederico da Montefeltre, one of the most famous princes and art patrons of Early Renaissance Italy. Raphael’s father was not an outstanding painter, though he was a man of good sense. Raphael started helping out in Santi’s studio at a very early age. It is believed that Raphael learnt the fundamentals of art in his father’s studio. But it is still unclear where Raphael received his training after this early period in his father’s workshop, as Giovanni Santi died in 1494. According to his first biographer Vasari Raphael was apprenticed to Perugino, although there are no sources, which confirm that he worked with Perugino before 1500.

Hello - I’m sorry that you’ve been diagnosed with this terrible disease. I was diagnosed in November 2006 with stage 2 breast cancer. What I would suggest you do is listen to your doctor’s recommendations for treatment. Then go and get a second opinion. I went to a teaching university near to me in San Francisco that specializes in treating breast cancer. Look at all your options and talk to your doctor about what you cure rate will be if you decide to go through the treatments he recommends. I had a mastectomy in March. As a result of my mastectomy, I did not need to have radiation treatments. My doctor also took a sample of my tumor and had a test on it called the Oncotype Assay DX. This test will help the doctor determine whether chemotherapy is the appropriate type of treatment for you. It turns out that that if I went through chemo, it would give me a 2% cure rate. Chemo for some people is very hard because of the drugs used - it affects the entire body, not just the area where the cancer was found. I thought that going through chemo in my particular instance was a lot of work for 2%. I decided on a mastectomy because the doctor said that the result from the surgery would give me a 90% cure - much better odds. So, like I mentioned, I had the surgery and am currently going through reconstruction, do not need to have chemo or radiation. I’m one of the lucky ones - and with Stage 0, it means that they caught your cancer early. I forgot to mention that the Oncotype Assay DX test is only for breast cancer in its early stages - so ask your doctor if this is something that will be appropriate for you.

Good luck - I’m sorry that you have to go through this. I’m sure you went through a range of emotions (I know I did) when you were told you have cancer. You are lucky that it was caught early and your odds at beating your cancer are excellent.

A good pair of walking shoes or boots are essential. In winter windcheaters, sweatshirts, woolen sweaters, mufflers and gloves are required.

Essential equipment:

Take adequate precautions before traveling in the sun. Bring sunscreen lotion, dark glasses, sunshades or a wide brimmed hat.
Binoculars will be of great help while observing the animals.
Bring essential medication, since brand names of medicines available in India may differ from the medication you may normally take.
If you plan to take a lot of photographs, bring enough reels of film or additional memory cards for your digital equipment.
Bring extra sets of batteries for your cameras, particularly if they use non-standard batteries.

How good is the solstice?

WTF are those people talking about? The Solstice is slow? In the segment it’s in, it is just as fast as any car out there. The GXP version is as fast as some cars way out of it’s segment. Styling is a personal choice. Personally, I’ve seen the Skye and […]

Styling is a personal choice. Personally, I’ve seen the Skye and Solstice sitting side by side, and I prefer the Solstice.

Practicality? There is none! Plus the waiting list is a year long at this point, and it isn’t helping that they are taking Skye sales out of Solstice production. Pontiac dealers (me included) are hammering at our sales reps trying to get GM to build more, so far we’ve had no luck.

I’m willing to take deposits and place orders for whomever wants to get on the list. I’m sure your local dealer is willing as well. Be prepared to pay more than MSRP, BTW (not at my dealership, but I’ve heard prices at $5k over sticker).

Good luck!

Financial Aid for UC’s?

A Perkins Loan is a federal student loan program that you qualified for based on your financial need, which means that it has low interest (5%), long grace periods, etc. You should check the materials the FAO will give you to see whether it’s a subsidized loan- I think the Perkins Loan is. A Perkins Loan is a federal student loan program that you qualified for based on your financial need, which means that it has low interest (5%), long grace periods, etc. You should check the materials the FAO will give you to see whether it’s a subsidized loan- I think the Perkins Loan is. (”Subsidized” means that the government will pay your interest while you’re in school– which is a good deal.)
The second loan listed is a Federal Subsidized loan. This one is also a gov’t program, and the gov’t will pay your interest while you’re in school. The interest rate on this loan is probably a little higher than the Perkins loan- I think they just set it at 6.8%.
Your grants are free money that you won’t have to pay back– you have both university and state/federal grants listed here.
Work Study is like a campus job– you’ll be paid for the work that you do (they usually post listings of available jobs in the summertime so that you can apply for the ones that sound good to you).
I hope that helps. If you go to an orientation session, they’ll usually give you more detailed info on the loans and the lenders you can choose from (they also usually require that you attend a debt-management session).
Best of luck to you!

Low Pressure Chamber ?

Low Pressure Chamber is just the regulator in the marker that brings down the pressure of your HPA. Your HPA tank is probably 3000 or 4500psi and the regulator on the tank brings it usually to 850psi. The gun then brings it down to about 150-300psi depending on the marker. It is it lose, you […]

Your HPA tank is probably 3000 or 4500psi and the regulator on the tank brings it usually to 850psi. The gun then brings it down to about 150-300psi depending on the marker. It is it lose, you should tighten it up and make sure it functions. If you don’t have a working LPR (low pressure regulator, same thing), then that means your gun will operate at a higher than normal pressure which would be fine except that it will cause more wear and tear and in some cases will crack o-rings or even entire bolts.

In a nutshell, the LPR must be working for your marker to perform at its best. If you don’t know how to fix it up, bring it to a shop and they will probably help you out. Again, this is not vital but is important for the longevity of your marker. Higher pressure is rougher on the parts, the LPR is there to prevent that.

Fixing water quality?

If this tank was established, then I doubt ammonia is an issue. If this was a tank still in the cycle process then ammonia probably would be in the picture. I am suspecting your finding your nitrates off the scale? That will be treated with water changes. 2 weeks in a […]

I am suspecting your finding your nitrates off the scale? That will be treated with water changes. 2 weeks in a cycled out tank, looking at that bioload, wouldn’t expect to be like super high. The fish you have are not massive waste producers, but still effect a large water change now, and test the next day. If you find your nitrates still elevated, then effect a slightly smaller change. No more then 50% in one shot really is the key to not shifting any elements in your water chemistry too fast in any one shot. I think your fish are going to be just fine if the fish you listed above are all you have in these tanks.

Anything to look out for in a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Where do these answers come from? I know of no bearing issues in the axles…..unless you have water in it and have never changed the oil. …(Or have a stroker and the problem is not the bearings!!!) This is maintenance related and not design. I would make sure, like ANY car, to check maintenance records or have all the fluids changed immediately, but that is not Jeep Related. When I say all, I am including brake fluid, and power steering fluids. EVERY THING. You do not know the previous conditions.
I would check front suspension components for wear, U joints, axle support struts, front bearings ( Usually much higher mileage), ect. Being a skeptic,,has the thing been in water??
If it were mine, I would immediately change all hoses and coolant.
The engine should, if it had the oil changed,,be fine at that mileage. Fan clutch is probably bad at that age and affects cooling in traffic.
Good Luck and wave at fellow jeep owners.

Locke said to Ben: “you wouldn’t keep meat in the refridgerator”?

I always thought that it was Locke saying that Ben was trying to assert his will onto the island rather than allowing the island to work on him. I always thought that it was Locke saying that Ben was trying to assert his will onto the island rather than allowing the island to work on him. If you think about it, Ben basically recreated the ‘normal’ world on the island; the Others’ community basically looked like regular suburbia, and the refrigerator and electricity and all of the modern accoutrements are a part of that. Thus, Ben wasn’t fully getting the influence of the island and allowing the island to work on him. On the other hand, Locke is communing with the island, living on what the island offers him and working with the island. He feels like it is sort of a spiritual thing. I think that is why Locke feels he is allowed to heal and walk, because he is one with the island.

Just my $.02. I haven’t read any of the theories on the Internet, so I apologize if I’m completely off base.

Youve got numerous modifications to make to attach it to your existing auxiliary belt and pulleys to power it, then you need to cut into your vents to channel the air, and you need all the cooling pipes to run in the right areas and the flow to go near your radiator. Normally a cars “plumbing” would be designed round the aircon, but as your car didnt have it you’ll have to move things all over the place to get a unit from the exact same car to fit.
It really is a job for a professional.

p.s. dont get rid of the Manta they are classic cars in their own right, and are becoming rare.
